There is Beauty Everywhere

One foggy morning, I was heading out the door and was stopped in my tracks by the beauty that was before my eyes.   Some may think that fog is a bad thing. Sure it can be dangerous to travel in, but take notice of what Mother Nature can create on a foggy morning.

Everything was holding droplets of dew and on this morning the fog had created a misty coating on all the spider webs.  There was a powerful peacefulness in the air. Things were calm and very tranquil. It was almost as though the world stood still for a moment, a moment for me to notice, and take in all the beauty that surrounds me. The stillness of this morning caused me to slow down and be more aware and thankful for all the beauty that this world has to offer.

As I continued about my drive my eyes were drawn to the ditches full of phragmite and in our area are considered an invasive plant causing damage to the biodiversity, our beaches and wetlands. But atop of these aggressive plants were a series of adjoining beautifully created spider webs stretching from one plant to the other. There was a multitude of beautifully created spider web, a representation of the art in nature. The fog had formed a misty coating on these detailed patterns enhancing their beauty and creating a picturesque lacy wonderland.

What beauty do you see before you? Will you stop and be thankful for the beauty that is before you?
